Restaurants salute the season

Christmas and the new year are right around the corner, so here are a few samples of what's happening in Devcember.

From Saturday though Jan. 6, 1789 Restaurant will transform its siz dining rooms into seasonal parlors.Carolers of the Washington Men's Camerata will perfom December 14 through Christmas Eve. Chef Nathan Beauchamp's menu includes venison with huckleberry jam, sweat potato gratin, red wine braised onions; prime rib served with Yorkshire pudding,Stilton and horseradish, and Christmas goose with chestnuts, cabbage, currants and black truffles. Christmas Eve hours are 4 to 10 p.m.; all offerings are a la carte.
