1789 Restaurant Decks its Dining Rooms with Signature Decorations, Classic Carols, and Delicious New Dishes This Holiday Season
Washington, D.C. (December 3, 2007) – As frost settles over Washington, D.C. this December, 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown will welcome guests to share the warmth of the holiday spirit in the restaurant’s cozy and elegant holiday setting. Set in a historic Federal townhouse, illuminated with gas lanterns and working fireplace, 1789 Restaurant will invite guests to indulge in Rising Culinary Star Chef Nathan Beauchamp’s holiday cuisine as the chef celebrates his second holiday season at the restaurant.
From December 1st through January 6th, 1789 Restaurant will transform its six elegant dining rooms into beautifully-decorated Christmas parlors under the creative direction of General Manager William Watts. Mantels hung with seasonal greenery and rooms adorned with antique toys and glowing candles will present a picture-perfect holiday scene, complete with carolers of The Washington Men’s Camerata from Friday, December 14th through Christmas Eve. A bountiful table of splendid cuisine will highlight the holiday celebration, as Chef Beauchamp will prepare branzino served with local oysters, salsify, and black truffle sauce; roasted prime rib served with Yorkshire pudding, stilton and horseradish, as well as Christmas goose with chestnuts, arrowhead cabbage, currants and black truffles.
Newly appointed Pastry Chef Fabrice Bendano will begin the festivities with freshly-baked breads and finish with homemade cookies, topping off the merriment on this truly memorable night.
1789 Restaurant is located at 1226 36th Street, NW and offers complimentary valet parking along with dinner service nightly. A pre-theater menu is available until 6:45 p.m. nightly as well as a post-theater menu after 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and after 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night.
