The Lighter Side of 1789
Beginning June 21, Chef Daniel Giusti presents an exciting new approach to organizing 1789 Restaurant’s a la carte menu. Dishes are lighter and more simply presented for the summer, focusing on ingredients and flavor combinations sectioned into specific categories. The traditional protocol of an appetizer, entrée and dessert course is gone, so order whatever strikes your fancy and experience the lighter side of 1789.
1789's contemporary seasonal menu blends the flavors of fresh regional ingredients into unique and delicious summer dishes. We invite you to join us for our 2010 Summer Special: 3 courses for $35. Offer expires September 15, 2010.

Wine Enthusiast's Toast of the Town
On June 11, 2010, 1789 was one of the select number of D.C. restaurants to participate in Toast of the Town. Known as a premier wine tasting event, the event showcased wines, spirits and music, paired with culinary creations from the area's top restaurants, all in a stunning setting.

Zoofari
May's ZooFari has been called D.C.'s "foodie event of the year," and the 2010 lineup featured some of the area's finest restaurants, including 1789. Add the fine wines, fabulous entertainment, animal demonstrations, and a great silent auction, all in the setting of the National Zoo, and you had the recipe for a great evening.
